A String Quartet

While searching the ‘net today for entertainment in Jackson, TN, I stumbled crossed a web page for The Jackson Symphony.  Sure enough they had a 4-instrument string quartet playing today!

It was just down the road and only cost $10/ticket.  So with a round-up and a contribution we spent $25 for about an hours worth of live music.  Two violins, a viola and a cello.  The theme was Bohemian Rhapsody!

The Program included;

  1. Quarter No.1 “From My Life” in E Minor (Smetana)
  2. String Quartet No. 12 “American” in F Major (Dvorak)
  3. Bohemian Rhapsody (Mercury, yes Freddie M from Queen)

We had so much fun.  The music was great.  The atmosphere was fun and I think we will do the Mozart program in April.  This made me think again about learning to play music and making sure I work on that Mandolin.
